Annual Lunar New Year Banquet

Click below to see pictures (on our Facebook page) from our annual GWADA Lunar New Year gala. We traditionally celebrate the Lunar New Year on the first day of each year of the 12 year cycle defined by the Chinese Zodiac. The Chinese Zodiac is based on a twelve year cycle, each year in the cycle is related to an animal sign. These animal signs are the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog and pig. The animal sign of a year is determined according to Chinese Lunar calendar. GWADA annually hosts a banquet party on a day that closely follows the actual Lunar New Year every year. Our party guests enjoy eating a variety of delicious Asian dishes and watching the fantastic show GWADA plans. They were also excited to participate in the door prizes. Some of them received great prizes and cash too! After the show, GWADA members took time to socialize with each other.
